Amelia & Jesus

We are praising the Lord because He has written another name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Amelia has been studying the Bible with Mercedes for a year and during the month of January she publicly recognized her need for Jesus to become her Lord and Saviour. It is not us; it is God’s Word that convicts the hearts of men and women of sin and our need to recognize Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. Scripture makes it clear, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’” Romans 10:13-15.

Estamos alabando a Dios porque El ha escrito otro nombre en el Libro de la Vida del Cordero. Amelia ha estado estudiando la Biblia con Mercedes durante un año y en Enero ella reconocio publicamente su necesidad de que Jesus viniese a ser su Señor y Salvador. No somos nosotros; es la Palabra de Dios que convence a los corazones de hombres y mujeres que somos pecadores y la necesidad de reconocer a Jesucristo como Señor de sus vidas. La Palabra es clara, "porque todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo. ¿Cómo, pues, invocarán a aquel en el cual no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán en aquel de quien no han oído? ¿Y cómo oirán sin haber quien les predique? ¿Y cómo predicarán si no fueren enviados? Como está escrito: ¡Cuán hermosos son los pies de los que anuncian la paz, de los que anuncian buenas nuevas!" Romanos 10:13-15.

Barcelona Meeting - Reunion en Barcelona

In January, we met with the governing body of the Spanish Free Church Theological School (EET) in Barcelona. We were asked to present Crown Financial Ministry materials and practical tools to find out how to incorporate Biblical Financial Stewardship into their curriculum. Please pray for these leaders as they make the tough decisions on how to better equip the Saints in Spain in fulfilling the Great Commission.

En enero, viajamos a Barcelona para reunirnos con los miembros de Junta Directiva de la Escuela Evangélica de Teología (EET) de la Federación de Iglesias Evangélicas Independientes de España. Fuimos invitados a presentar los libros y materiales de Conceptos Financieros Crown para generar ideas en como incorporar la Administracion Financiera Biblica dentro del pensum de estudios de la EET. Pedimos que oren por estos lideres que tienen que tomar decisiones dificiles en cuanto a como mejor preparar a los santos en Espana para cumplir la Gran Comision.

Christmas Program 2007 - Programa Navidad 2007

The Zalmedina Street Evangelical Church held their Christmas program with the participation of children singing and reciting Scripture.

La Iglesia Cristiana Evangélica de la calle Zalmedina celebro su Programa de Navidad con la participación de los niños cantando y recitación de versículos bíblicos.

There was a play which brought a contemporary look on the birth of Jesus from the perspective of John the Baptist. This was quite a production because it included acting, singing and a little impromptu choreography (which Marlan was also a participant).

También hubo una obra que trajo una visión contemporánea del nacimiento de Jesús desde la perspectiva de Juan el Bautista. Esta fue una producción porque incluía actuación, canciones y un poco de coreografía libre (del cual Marlan también participo).

Thanksgiving 2007 - Accion de Gracias 2007

We are thankful to the Lord for His goodness during 2007. One of the events we held in our home was a Thanksgiving dinner in late November. We had over 20 people attend from different points of the Globe. At least half of those in attendance have not committed their lives to Christ, we were able to convey the significance of giving thanks to God for his many blessings. Of course the biggest blessing of all is the new life we experience through the sacrifice of God's Son, Jesus Christ.

Le damos gracias al Señor por su bondad durante el 2007. Uno de los eventos que tuvimos en nuestro apartamento fue una cena de Acción de Gracias a finales de Noviembre. Asistieron mas de 20 personas de distintos puntos de la Tierra. Por lo menos la mitad de los que asistieron no le han entregado sus vidas a Cristo, tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir la importancia de darle gracias a Dios por sus muchas bendiciones. Por supuesto la mas grande de todas las bendiciones es la vida nueva que experimentamos por medio del sacrificio de Jesucristo, el Hijo de Dios.

We are thankful to the Lord for His Word, the Bible. Especially everytime we are able to place it into the hands of someone who will not only appreciate it but will also read and obey it. This is the case with Francis. He is a believer from Africa. When we were able to find him a Spanish / English Bible he was overjoyed, because now he had the Word of God in a language he can understand. Please pray for Francis, he has not seen his family in nearly seven years and his father passed away over the summer. Hopefully in 2008 he will be able to travel back to his country and see his family.


Le damos gracias al Senor por Su Palabra, la Biblia. Nos llena de gozo cada vez que podemos hacer llegar la Biblia a personas que no solo lo aprecian pero tambien lo lean y lo obedezcan. Este es el caso de Francis. El es un creyente que viene del Africa. Cuando pudimos encontrarle una Biblia en Ingles y en Espanol el estaba gozoso porque ahora poseia la Palabra de Dios en un idioma que el puede comprender. Por favor oren por Francis, el no ha visto a su familia en casi siete anios y su padre fallecio durante el verano. Esperamos que en el 2008 el pueda viajar a su pais y ver a sus seres queridos.
