Merry Christmas 2013 Feliz Navidad

We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas 2013. This picture was taken in during our trip to the USA and Puerto Rico. Naturally, this was not taken in Puerto Rico. Thanks to all of you for receiving us in your churches and in your homes while we were there. To those of you we were not able to visit, we will try to go back soon and have the blessing of sharing with you what the Lord is doing in Zaragoza.

Queremos desearles una muy Feliz Navidad 2013. Esta foto fue tomada durante nuestro viaje a los EEUU y Puerto Rico. Naturalmente, no fue tomada en Puerto Rico. Gracias a todos ustedes que nos recibieron en sus Iglesias y en sus hogares mientras que estuvimos alli. Para aquellos que no pudimos visitor, lo intentaremos volver pronto y tener la bendicion de compartir con ustedes lo que el Senor esta haciendo en Zaragoza.

¡¡¡FELIZ 4 DE JULIO DESDE ZARAGOZA, ESPAÑA!!!

We are thanking the Lord for this 4th of July because of what it means to us to be Americans. We are proud to see the Star Spangled Banner waving, reminding us of the sacrifice of many to give us the freedom and rights to agree or disagree with what goes on in all the halls of government. Several members of our own family have served in wartime, both World Wars, during Korea and the Persian Gulf War. To all who have served and sacrificed; Thank You.

Les damos gracias al Señor por este 4 de Julio, y lo que significa para nosotros los estadounidenses. Nos sentimos orgullosos al ver la Bandera de las Estrellas y Franjas ondeando, recordándonos el sacrificio de muchos para darnos la libertad y los derechos que tenemos de aprobar o condenar lo que ocurre en todas las cámaras del gobierno. Varios miembros de nuestra familia han servido en tiempo de guerra, ambas Guerras Mundiales, la guerra de Corea y la del Golfo Pérsico. A todos quienes han servido y han sacrificado; Muchas Gracias.

 

However it is even more meaningful to us becoming citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom of God. One volunteered to lay down His life in sacrifice for all. We were freed from the bondages of sin and death and eternal punishment, which we clearly deserve. That person was God Himself in human form in the person of Jesus Christ our Lord or Yeshua Hamashiach our Adonai. He was 100% God and 100% man. Today He freely gives us a choice, either continue being a slave to the ruler of this world, Satan the deceiver or change allegiance to the Conquering King of Kings, Christ Jesus…who not only died for all but was resurrected on the third day as promised and is the only person in all humanity who left behind his grave, never to return to it.

 

Sin embargo es aún más significativo para nosotros el llegar a ser ciudadanos de la Patria Celestial de Dios. Uno se entregó voluntariamente para morir en sacrificio por todos. Fuimos librados de las cadenas del pecado y la muerte y el castigo eterno, que claramente merecemos. Aquella persona fue Dios mismo en la forma humana de Jesucristo nuestro Señor o Yeshua Hamashiach nuestro Adonai. Él fue 100% Dios y 100% hombre. Hoy Él nos da a escoger libremente, a continuar siendo esclavos del tirano de este mundo, Satanás el engañador o cambiaremos nuestra lealtad al Victorioso Rey de Reyes, Cristo Jesús…quien no solo murió por todos pero fue resucitado al tercer día como prometió y es la única persona en la humanidad quien dejo atrás su tumba, para jamás regresar a ella.  

 

This decision is up to you, nobody can make it for you. Nobody can pray you out of any purgatory or be baptized into heaven in your stead. You must recognize that you are a sinner before God, in other words you have been disobedient to God’s commands, and even if one is broken it is as if you have broken them all. Accept that the Lord Jesus Christ died and suffered in your place for your sins and boldly proclaim it before others that it is He and only He that can save you from eternal punishment in hell. Ask for His forgiveness and turn away from your wicked ways.

 

Esta decisión es solo para ti tomarla, nadie puede hacerlo por ti. Nadie puede orar para sacarte de ningún purgatorio o ser bautizado por otro para entrar al cielo. Debes reconocer que eres un pecador ante Dios, en otras palabras has sido desobediente a los mandamientos de Dios, y aun si en uno has desobedecido es como si hubieras desobedecido todos.  Reconoce que el Señor Jesucristo sufrió  y murió en tu lugar por tus pecados y proclama sin temor ante otros que Él y solo Él puede salvarte de un castigo eterno en el infierno. Pídele que te perdone y apártate de tus caminos de maldad.

 

He wants to give you a new life…He did not say an easy life…a New Life. Trust in Him, read His Word, the Holy Bible with no additional books or revelations other than what you see listed as the books which comprise the Word of God. Not only read the Word of God, but put them into practice. Find a body of believers, or congregation, which also read the Bible and are obedient to what it says. Pray or talk daily to God. Tell Him your thoughts, your desires, confess to Him your sins; put all of your trust in Him. He will not let you down, but make sure you are praying according to His will not your own. If you have decided to do this today, it is truly your Day of Freedom a day to celebrate.

 

El quiere darte una nueva vida…El no prometió una vida fácil…una Vida Nueva. Pon tu confianza en El, lea Su Palabra, la Santa Biblia sin otros libros adicionales o revelaciones más allá de lo que encuentras en la lista de libros que son la Palabra de Dios. No solo leas la Palabra de Dios, pero póngalo en práctica. Busque un cuerpo de creyentes, o congregación, que también lean la Biblia y obedecen lo que dice. Ora o habla diariamente con Dios. Dile tus pensamientos, tus deseos, confiésale a El tus pecados, ponga toda tu confianza en Él. Él no te defraudara, pero asegúrate que estas orando según Su voluntad y no la tuya. Si has decidido poner tu confianza hoy en El, es un Día de Libertad para ti y es un día para celebrar.

 

We, as a family, are also celebrating this 4^th of July because it was seven years ago today that we arrived in Spain to begin reaching out with this Good News of Salvation to anyone who will listen. We want to thank all of you who have not only stood by us prayerfully but also financially down through the years.

 

Nosotros, como familia, estamos celebrando este 4 de Julio por otra razón, hace siete años en un día como hoy llegamos a España para comenzar a comunicar la Buenas Nuevas de Salvación a quienquiera quería escuchar el mensaje. Queremos agradecerles a todos que no solo nos hayan apoyado en oración pero también nos han apoyado económicamente durante estos años.

Eventos 2011 Events

Throughout the year of 2011 we were able to see El Shaddai church plant grow in number but more importantly spiritually as several not only participated but also organized certain events. In the next few entries we will show these people and events with pictures taken during 2011.

Durante el año 2011 pudimos ver la naciente iglesia de El Shaddai crecer no solo en números pero más importante en calidad espiritual al ver a varios no solo participaron en las actividades pero también organizaron los eventos.
En las próximas entradas les mostraremos las personas y los eventos con las fotos tomadas durante el 2011.

Christmas Party – 2010 – Fiesta de Navidad

We held our second El Shaddai Christmas Party at a local Chinese Restaurant. This time the owner was not a believer in Christ, like last year, but we decided to host it at his establishment because it was within walking distance to the church facility.

Celebramos nuestra segunda fiesta de Navidad como Iglesia El Shaddai en un restaurant chino cercano al local de la iglesia. El dueño del restaurant no era creyente como el del 2009, pero decidimos celebrarlo ahí porque estaba cerca del local.

We had a Christmas Carol sing time along with special music done by Yilian, Ruth, Alex, Mercedes and Mario.

Cantamos villancicos de Navidad además de música especial por Yilian, Rut, Alex, Mercedes y Mario.

We also had a play performed by children of all ages and sizes.

También tuvimos una obra de teatro protagonizada por niños de todas las edades y todos los tamaños.

Then there was a brief Christmas Story message and then it was time for the food. We had around 60 people, more than half were guests invited by various members of the church.

Luego hubo una corta predicación sobre la Navidad y luego tiempo de comer. Tuvimos alrededor de unas 60 personas, más de la mitad en asistencia fueron invitados por varios miembros de la iglesia.

Then it was time for the children of the church to receive their Christmas presents. We hope that you have received the best present of all time, the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior of your life.

Después del postre era hora de abrir los regalos para los niños de la iglesia. Es nuestra esperanza que usted haya recibido el mejor regalo de todos los tiempos, al Señor Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador de su vida.  

New Believers – Nuevos Creyentes

A young couple which has been visiting the church and have been having Bible Studies with Mercedes received Jesus Christ into their hearts as Lord and Savior of their lives in late November. It was a rare treat to be able to lead both Mario and Sandra, as a couple, in prayer to receive the Lord together. It was also neat that Ruth could be present for such a joyous occasion. Please pray for their growth as they walk together with the Lord.

Una pareja joven quienes han estado visitando la iglesia y han estado estudiando la Biblia con Mercedes recibieron a Jesucristo en sus corazones con Señor y Salvador de sus vidas a finales de Noviembre. Fue una bendición especial el poder orar con Mario y Sandra juntos como pareja para recibir al Señor. Fue chévere que Rut pudo estar para presenciar una ocasión tan gozosa. Por favor oren por su crecimiento mientras caminan juntos con el Señor.
